Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how cancellations, change-of-mind requests, recurring services and refunds are handled by WebQuick.

Last updated: 9 August 2026

Plain-language summary

The goal is simple: charge fairly for work actually performed and costs actually committed, while preserving all rights that apply under Australian law.

Cancel monthly Care before the next renewal to stop future recurring charges.
Third-party domain, email or licence costs may be non-recoverable once committed.
If Australian Consumer Law gives you a remedy, this policy does not take it away.

1. Our approach

We want cancellations and refunds to be clear and fair. This policy applies to WebQuick website projects, setup services, recurring Website Care and related digital services.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply where relevant. This policy does not replace or limit those rights.

2. Change-of-mind cancellations

A change of mind does not automatically create a legal right to a refund. However, our practical policy is to deal with cancellations reasonably based on the work already completed and costs already committed.

If you cancel before we have started work, we will generally refund amounts paid for WebQuick labour that has not been performed, less any non-recoverable third-party costs already incurred for your order.

If work has started, we may retain an amount that reasonably reflects work performed and non-recoverable costs, and refund any remaining balance where applicable.

3. Website projects and one-off setup services

For website builds, redesigns and one-off setup services, the amount refundable after cancellation depends on the stage reached, work completed, approvals already given and any third-party costs committed.

If you are unhappy with work, please give us a reasonable opportunity to understand and rectify the issue before requesting cancellation, where appropriate.

4. Website Care and monthly subscriptions

Monthly Website Care services can be cancelled before the next renewal. Unless otherwise agreed, service continues until the end of the current paid billing period and future recurring charges stop after that.

We do not normally provide a change-of-mind refund for an already-started monthly billing period, because hosting, monitoring, backups, support capacity and other services are provided or reserved during that period. This does not affect rights that apply if a service fails to meet a consumer guarantee.

5. Domain registrations, renewals and transfers

Domain registrations and renewals are often processed immediately through a registry or registrar and may be non-recoverable once submitted. If you change your mind after a successful registration or renewal, a refund may therefore not be available for that third-party cost.

If WebQuick has not yet submitted the registration, renewal or transfer, contact us as soon as possible and we will check whether the transaction can be stopped.

Domain eligibility, transfer and registry rules may also affect whether a transaction can be reversed.

6. Email and third-party licences

Email subscriptions, software licences, premium plugins and other third-party services may be purchased or committed for a billing period. Where a provider does not refund us, that non-recoverable third-party cost may be excluded from a change-of-mind refund.

Where possible, we will tell you about material third-party costs before committing them.

7. Problems with a service and consumer guarantees

If a WebQuick service does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law. The remedy depends on the circumstances and seriousness of the problem.

Please contact us with details of the issue so we can assess it and provide the remedy required by law.

8. How to cancel or request a refund

Email hello@webquick.com.au with your name, business name, service and the reason for the cancellation or refund request. You can also call 0415 383 909.

We may ask for information needed to identify the order and understand the issue. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Handover after cancellation

Where a website, domain, email account or other service needs to be handed over after cancellation, we will provide reasonable assistance subject to payment of outstanding amounts and any third-party requirements.

Additional migration or technical work beyond a normal handover may be quoted separately.
